Mission Statement
Children 0-6 Years of Age:
The Life Applied Early Start Program (LAESP) provides in-home early start services provided by 1:1 Early Start Therapists supported by a multi-disciplinary team. LAESP is characterized by family-centered services individually created and implemented by highly qualified and experienced team members. The professionals comprising each team are multi-disciplinary, thus function as an expert unit able to view the infant/toddler as a “whole child” and meet the needs of the family. All interventions implemented and suggested are evidenced-based and recognized for being effective in addressing deficits and developing skills of children identified as having developmental delays, at-risk for developing delays and/or diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The purpose of the LAESP is to provide services for young children birth to three years of age that enhances the development of infants and toddlers with developmental delays and increases capacity of families to meet the needs of the child. Children who qualify are under the age of 36-months and have been identified via standardized assessment as experiencing a developmental delay, have “red flags” present, indicating development of ASD, or have an ASD diagnosis. Life Applied early intervention programming addresses advancement across the following developmental areas: physical, cognitive, communication, social/emotional, and adaptive. This is accomplished through use of validated assessment tools, frequent and ongoing evaluation/monitoring and implementation of evidenced based systems with the family and child by qualified staff with the purpose of lessening effects of the delay or disability.
